Tom Wilson, PGA, the Executive Director of the Century Club of San Diego is retiring at the end of February following 20 years of dedicated service and leadership for the Century Club and The Farmer’s Insurance Open. What an honor! January 26th was proclaimed “Tom Wilson Day” in the City of San Diego and February 7th “Tom Wilson Day” for the County of San Diego. Tom Wilson currently holds office as an Independent Director for the Southern California PGA Board of Directors .

  The San Diego Chapter recently honored its 2011 Award Winners during the Annual Meeting. The winners are:
On November 7th & 8th Palomar College Women’s Golf Program is hosting the Southern California Regionals. With the Cal State Open starting on the 8th most of the rules officials are committed to the event. The San Diego Chapter is requesting volunteers for Monday and Tuesday to be rules officials, scoreboard and starter on Monday. Schedule of Events: Monday the November 7th – 9:30 tee times Time Slots Needing filled for each day: Monday November 7th: 2 Rules Officials needed from 9am – 4:30pm Tuesday November 8th: 3 Rules Officials needed from 7:30 – 1:30pm to 2pm Any amount of time would be greatly appreciated. Lunch and drinks will be provided for all volunteers both days, and you will recieve MSR points up to max of 8 hours per day.
